Architectures are solidified musical notes. The nature of architecture is to define the relationship between the space and its users. Likewise, design gives space greater imagination through various explorations. Design, just like a melody, has variations of rhythms. Through a hi-tech design language, Kyle Design blends space and time perfectly to meet people’s imagination for the future office. Kyle explored six different melodies in the space design, creating futuristic/ mystical/ technological/ professional/ relaxational/ and warm effects. Like in a partita, the alternation and integration of the six melodies compose a unique musical chapter for the space, starting a journey of design and experience.
▼overviewPrelude—Brand ImaginationDesign starts by showcasing the vision of the company through space. The challenge of incorporating two functions (showroom and office) into one space is to find the right balance between the two demands. The technology and human factors need to be integrated in order to realize the visual and functional demands of the future space. This time, Kyle Design focuses on what people think and feel as they step into the space and creates various experiences for each area through different melodies. Visitors are brought into the design by passing through the time tunnel after arriving at the lobby of the showroom by the lift. As the door slides open, the “brainstorm” suspended in the core area, which symbolizes thinking, comes in sight. It signifies the depth of the brand. By breaking the conventional way of thinking, Kyle Design creates a sense of surreality, in which people can immerse themselves and reflect on the future.▼entrance areaThe smart lighting and 360-degree video projection adds to the futuristic and hi-tech atmosphere. This area will function as both the reception and the display area. Interlude—A Complex of Design
The office and the showroom should remain independent, consistent and not interruptive with each other. It’s an experience of interlude to enter the office function display area from the super-futuristic area. Kyle Design has always believed in achieving complex functions with limited space. We take into consideration people’s needs of the showroom and office and designed an area integrating the cafe/ business reception/ smart mobile office/ and leisure functions. The multifunction layout meets users’ needs and maximizes the space value. The corridor, the walls and even the display of artworks all become a guidance, keeping visitors’ curiosity intrigued until the next area. The delicate meeting room looks like a spaceship capsule which is made spacious and bright by using transparent materials. Contouring lines in the space are a key element to interior design. With separated yet consistent lines, people can experience different views standing at different positions. Seasoned designers excel at stimulating emotions by using colors. The bright colors at the transitional area give people joy and inspiration while the simple and clear match of white and blue pacifies people into thoughts. Matching well the design, space and furniture is crucial to office design. Office furniture plays an essential role in creating an efficient working environment and expressing the harmonious beauty of people, activities and objects. Furniture pieces are artworks that can be analyzed statistically. As people walk the same way back to the starting point, the smart lighting dims down as if hinting the end of the music, leaving visitors with lingering memories. Design is an ongoing adventure. What is unknown is what is desirable.
