AB Concept, co-founded in 1999 by Ed Ng and Terence Ngan, is headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Taipei and Bangkok. With the concept of "telling the unique story behind the design through spatial experience", it has gradually developed into a prestigious international architecture and interior design company, and has won awards from many world-renowned hotel brands, luxury real estate project developers, top private residences and high-end restaurant brands. Accredited as one of the most integrated thinking internationally renowned architecture and interior design firms in Asia.
What AB Concept cares about is not a gorgeous work space, but a beautiful work mood. The overall design of AB Concept’s Hong Kong office reflects the thinking and attitudes of the two founders, Ed Ng and Terence Ngan, on space, design and people.
Because we do not want to turn the office into a corporate company, we thoroughly integrate the concept of life into the entire design. Behind this humanized design is the humble and gentle design philosophy of Ed&Terence. Instead of confining oneself to the frame of the office concept and being rigid, it is better to be a person with the most real and natural attitude towards life, without exaggeration or hypocrisy, just like being at home. When your mind is set, you can focus on doing things.
The new concept studio is located on the 18th floor of Leighton Centre in Causeway Bay, with an area of nearly 14,000 square feet. Most of the furniture, decorations and artworks were collected by Ed & Terence over many years.
From the moment you walk in the door, the spacious reception area is like a living room, and the details show its design concept; the studio is also equipped with various carefully designed boutique furniture and classic chairs designed by famous designers, including Danish design master Finn Juhl's representative Chieftain Chair and Hans Wegner's Rocking Chair, with chic decorative bicycles, rows of bookshelves, a circular reception desk and a variety of flowers and plants, create a strong art Ambience.。
Turning a corner, the corridor is adorned with rare artworks, including works by French artist Olivier et Myriam, American sculptor David Kracov and Korean artist Yim Tae Kyu.
A major feature of AB Concept's office may be that it has built, perhaps the largest "Library" (The Library) in Asia, in which AB Concept has collected tens of thousands of various soft and hard materials since its establishment. , a wide variety of materials, it is almost every designer's dream material library. “Mr. Yan and I try to find time every day to discuss different projects with the team. This is one of the ways we inspire each other. Often they find some photos, some ideas, and completely change our final design. This interactive design process is a very constructive approach," said Wu Zhongkuang.
The standard of the office is to let designers work happily every day and be treated like home, where both excellent designers and clients can appreciate how much they enjoy and value their work.”
The most central area is the central garden area, located in the center of Ed&Terence's open office. This is the perfect place for everyone to have discussions about projects. In a completely open space, ask all questions and optimize all plans until all the details of the project are close to perfection.
The office not only has an independent Technogym private gym with shower room and steam room, but also has an elegantly decorated and fully equipped kitchen and dining room.
