Roquette, a family-owned company based in France and founded in 1933, is engaged in the biorefining industry of plant-based raw materials and is a world leader in the industry of starch and its further processing,
it is also a global leader in the production of polyols.

From conceptual design to construction, this case was carried out at a fast pace. Six months were devoted to renovation work and the full configuration of the office space
(including all furniture, non-standard accessories and office landscaping). However the safe social distance during a pandemic did pose a huge challenge.

The interior plan includes 54 workstations, a reception area with an open lobby, a large conference room and five smaller meeting rooms (for client contact or conference calls), five teamwork areas, four administrative offices, a break room, kitchen and large professional kitchen lab (due to the needs of the client's specific industry attributes).

The large conference room can be flexibly divided into two smaller meeting rooms with folding tables and stackable caster seating to ensure flexibility in set-up. It is also equipped with a Mood Fabric mobile writing whiteboard, which can also be used as an acoustic partition screen. The project collaboration area was configured with two heights of tables: a regular height conference table and a 900 mm height conference table with Neo high bar seating stools. This height ensures a comfortable docking between participants and those standing or passing by, thus allowing collaborative meetings to run smoothly.

Professional kitchen laboratories require specific solutions due to the need for separate ventilation, special equipment and connections. The laboratory furniture consisted of a custom-made table and seating stools on wheels to allow for free operation on the counter top.

Here you will see lush green plant shelves separating the work areas from the passageways. This design not only creates an acoustic and visual barrier, but also optimizes the air quality inside and greatly emphasizes the brand's strong association with healthy nature. Through the combined efforts of the client, architects, suppliers and non-standard furniture manufacturers, a carefully designed functional plan and color scheme resulted in a stylish and aesthetic space that expresses the brand's culture and realizes its vision.
