In this issue, the design team presents the offices of UCB Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, in Milan, Italy.

Creating a work environment that resembles a "culture club" model was the goal of the design from the beginning; a collaborative center that encourages people to communicate and cooperate.

For all of these reasons, and because of the dramatic changes in the workplace, the plan for this new office includes several work areas dedicated to informal meetings, conference rooms with video intelligence facilities, stand-up meetings, project rooms, a library and a range of creative spaces. Of course, there are also special spaces designed for 1-on-1 meeting pods and focused work.
