Composite Space Financial Trust Company Guangzhou Office Design Appreciation

This project is the business headquarters of a financial company in Guangzhou, located in the core cultural and business district of Guangzhou, the Pearl River New Town's Hopscotch International Financial Plaza, with a total space of 580 square meters, including a standard work space, open lounge, dining area and meeting area. The complex functions and spaces provide for work-life balance.

The overall interior style is inspired by the natural beauty of the Pearl River and life under the canopy of banyan trees in Guangzhou. The style allows for the presentation of different levels of design, from the simple blending of materials to the actual introduction of green vegetation into the interior spaces. The overall feeling is warm and pleasant.

Hopscotch International Financial Plaza has an excellent location. The south side of the office directly overlooks the Guangzhou Tower and the Pearl River. There is a very open view of the city. The southern portion of the office space is open for the daily recreational use of all employees, while the three private offices are arranged facing the U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou against the west elevation. The meeting rooms and other support functions require less natural light and are therefore located to the north.

For the open plan office area, the client's intention was to have 15 workstation units in one continuous layout. In order to maximize the use of natural light, the open plan offices are arranged on the east and west sides of the south facade, connected by passageways in between. The office area includes staff workstations and breakout areas. The breakout areas are arranged along the windows with small low tables to ensure natural light throughout the office area. The organic shape of the furniture, which extends from the columns to the ceiling, demonstrates the "natural and organic" concept of the design. The work area is arranged on the side near the window in order to have enough natural light.
Finally, the open dining area is arranged between the highly characteristic diagonal support structure. As a pedestrian midpoint, it connects the northern and southern parts of the office. The building's unique cross-support structure will be integrated into the organic furniture forms as a highlight of the interior space. In the dining area, organic forms of cabinetry wrap around the columns and cross bracing to provide space for the necessary kitchen appliances. The gap left between the low sofa and the kitchen area allows for views and natural light to pass through and the entire dining area to be illuminated. The dining table is integrated into the sideboard behind the cross braces and arranged along the window to provide seating for daily meals.
